Altec Integrated Solutions

As a Junior Controls Engineer on the Entertainment team at Altec, I design, program, and commission industrial control systems for coasters and dark rides around the globe. From initial electrical schematics and hardware selection to PLC/HMI programming and onsite deployment, I play a key role at every stage of the project lifecycle and ensure work is done with quality and innovation in mind.

Beckhoff Canada

As a Technical Support Specialist at Beckhoff Automation Canada, I provided expert support for the company’s PC-based control technologies, including TwinCAT 3 software, system hardware, and motion control systems. My role involved responding to customer inquiries, developing automation system quotations, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.

My time as a Manufacturing Controls Engineering Intern at Tesla was truly transformative. I led and worked alongside vendors to commission an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) project on a new assembly line. The control logic and HMI for AGV operations was developed on the Siemens platform. I was privileged to work on projects that had a significant impact on the Megapack manufacturing line, and I was a direct contributor to the company's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

As a Mechanical Engineering co-op on the Turbines and Generators team at BC Hydro, I was responsible for ensuring contractors followed outlined procedures to minimize errors in the construction process on the Site C dam. This project will generate 1,100 MW of capacity and produce approximately 5,100 GWh annually, enough to power around 450,000 homes in the province.
